The Huawei Mate X initially went on it’s debut sale back in November 15th, but the device was quickly sold out in a matter of seconds. The subsequent sale held on November 22nd and 29th also saw the device being sold out in less than a minute.
As a result, Huawei has to hold a forth round of sale this morning on Vmall. Just as we thought the craze was over, the Mate X was back at it again. The device has been officially sold out for the forth in 3 weeks.
Even though many have lamented about it’s hefty price tag of 16,999 yuan (US$2,403), but the device remain one of the most highly-sought after smartphone in the Chinese market.

So far, the Huawei Mate X has managed to achieve 99% positive review on Vmall from users who’d managed to purchase the device. Most of the users commended about it’s ergonomical design and smooth browsing speed which went beyond their expectations.
However, although the Mate X has been selling like hot cakes in the Chinese market, it’s international availability remain uncertain till now. If you still remember, a Huawei’s spokesman had recently told CNBC that a global launch plan is still currently under review.
Many believed that the delay could be linked to the omission of pre-installed Google Play apps and services on the Mate X. Due to the lack of these popular apps, it might be unlikely for consumers to fork out such an astronomical sum of money for the device.
