In September this year, HMD Global had unleashed the Nokia 2720 flip phone. It had the European markets with a price tag of 90 euros. Recently, the Chinese edition of the phone that has a model number of TA-1170 was spotted on TENAA with its full specifications. It indicated that the phone could be arriving soon in China. Today, the Finnish firm has officially confirmed that Nokia Phones Weibo account that the Nokia 2720 flip phone will break cover on Dec. 24.
The launch poster confirms the Nokia 2720 moniker and states that it will debut at 10 AM (local time) on the aforementioned date. The phone comes with dual displays. The first one is an outer 1.3-inch screen that offers 240 x 240 pixels resolution. This monochrome display can be used for checking notifications. The internal color 2.8-inch display offers 4:3 aspect ratio. The phone runs on KaiOS and it is preloaded with WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps. There is Kai app store onboard for downloading other apps.
The LTE ready Nokia 2720 also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4 connectivity. A basic 2-megapixel camera is available on the phone for shooting photos. There is 4 GB of native storage and support for microSD card slot. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack. The pricing of Nokia 2720 flip phone for China is currently under the wraps.
