Red Magic 5G Phone has Samsung’s LPDDR5 RAM, Confirms Nubia VP

Nubia recently confirmed that it will be holding an online launch event for the upcoming Red Magic 5G phone. The company is yet to confirm on the launch date of the smartphone and is still busy teasing on its features. Today, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be arriving with LDPRR5 RAM technology from Micron. Other companies are also expected to launch flagship phones with the latest RAM technology onboard. Nubia Vice President Ni Fei took to Weibo to confirm that the upcoming Red Magic 5G gaming phone will be also equipped with LPDDR5 RAM.

It was already known that the Red Magic 5G phone will be arriving with LPDDR5 RAM. However, Fei claims that many fans wanted to know whether the standard edition of the phone will be also equipped with LPDDR5 RAM. The image shared by Fei confirms that the phone will be featuring RAM chips manufactured by Samsung. Nubia’s parent firm ZTE is also working on the Axon 10s Pro which is almost official. It is also equipped with LPDRR5 RAM.

Nubia Red Magic 5G Specifications

The Red Magic 5G phone is expected to house a 6.65-inch display that will support up to 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will be fueling the handset with up 12 GB of RAM. The base model of the phone may feature 8 GB of RAM.

The company has already revealed that the Red Magic 5G phone will be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery. It will carry support for 55W fast charging. For enhanced gaming, the phone will bring support for low latency wireless cast.

The handset will be sporting a triple camera system on its back. It will be featuring the Sony IMX686 64-megapixel as the primary shooter. There is no word on the pricing of the phone.
