Samsung Galaxy A31 with 48MP quad-camera & 5,000mAh battery has been officially announced

In recent months, Samsung has been busy churning out plenty of new mid-ranger smartphone models despite the plummeting smartphone sales across the globe.

Today, the Korean smartphone maker has officially announced a new mid-ranger offering known as the Galaxy A31 which will be succeeding last year’s Galaxy A30 smartphone.

As with most other typical mid-ranger phones, the Galaxy A31 will utilize an Infinity-U AMOLED display that will encompass a 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. It’s front display is also integrated with an in-display fingerprint sensor for optimal security.

On the flip-side, the Galaxy A31 arrives with a trendy rectangular camera module which houses a quad-camera array comprising of a 48 megapixels main shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro lens, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensor. This will be completed with an impressive 20 megapixels selfie camera at the front.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A31 will be driven by an octa-core MediaTek’s Helio P65 SoC which will be coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and as much as 128GB onboard storage space. If you find the storage insufficient, it could be further expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card as well.

As usual, there will be a generous 5,000mAh battery beneath the device which comes with 15W fast-charging support. For those who’re interested, there will be a total of four different colorways for you to choose from namely Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Red, and Prism Crush White.
