In a new teaser released by OnePlus, the company has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 8 series phones will feature all the latest technologies including Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR 5 RAM and the super-fast UFS 3.0 flash storage.
This, according to OnePlus, will help the phones to deliver a “dramatic increase in system performance, while reducing power consumption”.
For those who do not know, the latest LPDDR 5 RAM technology is capable of achieving a blazing-fast transfer rate of up to 6,400Mbps and an incredibly high bandwidth of 51.2GB/s. Similarly, it also registered a 45% reduction in power consumption as compared to the previous generation’s technology.

As for the UFS 3.0 flash storage technology, it is also able to boost read and write speeds to about 1,700MB/s. On top of that, OnePlus has also brought in another two new technologies to further accelerate the read and write speeds. These technologies include Turbo Write and Host Performance Booster.
As OnePlus noted, there is certainly a limit to the performance of hardware. Therefore, the company has also placed a huge emphasis on software optimization in order to ensure a truely “fast and smooth” experience for its users.
