Vivo X50 Series will be heading to the Global market next month

Following the successful launch of the highly anticipated Vivo X50 smartphone series in China, we can now confirm that Vivo will be bringing these devices to the global market next month.

Currently, the Vivo X50 series consists of a total of three different models including the Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, as well as an ultra high-end model known as the Vivo X50 Pro+.

In the Asian markets, the X50 series is expected to be launched in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and India to name a few.

For the benefits of those who’d missed out, here’s a recap of the Vivo X50 series smartphones:

Vivo X50 Pro+

As its name suggests, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is the highest-end model among the trio. Starting with the front, the Vivo X50 Pro+ features a 6.56-inches FHD+ OLED curved display which has a smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. The tiny cutout on the top-left corner is also home to a 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Over at the back, the device has a powerful quad-cameras system housed within a rectangular module on the upper left corner. Just like what rumors had previously suggested, the Vivo X50 Pro+ will indeed be fitted with the latest Samsung’s 50MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor as its main camera.

The new ISOCELL GN1 sensor makes use of Tetrecell (4-in-1 pixel binning) to deliver 12.5MP shots with huge 2.4µm pixels. It is also able to support Dual Pixel phase-detection autofocus.

Other than that, the other three cameras include an 8 megapixels periscope lens, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 13 megapixels portrait lens. Courtesy of its periscope lens, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is able to achieve up to 5x optical zoom and as much as 60x “Hyper Zoom”.

Under the hood, the Vivo X50 Pro+ is driven by the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC which promises superior performance on the handset. A 4,315mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support will sit at the heart of the device.

In terms of pricing, the Vivo X50 Pro+ will be priced at 4,998 Yuan (US$701), 5,498 Yuan (US$771) and 5,998 Yuan (US$842) respectively for its 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models.

Vivo X50 Pro

Moving on to the Vivo X50 Pro, this device will also features a 6.56-inches FHD+ OLED curved display which encompasses the same hole-punch design to accommodate its 32 megapixels selfie camera. However, the front display is able to support only 90Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz.

At the back, the device will still be coming with four cameras. However, its main camera will be a 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 sensor coupled with a “gimbal-like” stabilization technology. This will be accompanied by an 8 megapixels periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 13 megapixels portrait lens.

In terms of internals, the Vivo X50 Pro will feature a toned-down Snapdragon 765G SoC and has the same 4,315mAh battery capacity. However, it will charge at a slower 33W charging speed.

For those who’re interested, the Vivo X50 Pro will be priced at 4,298 Yuan (US$603) and 4,698 Yuan (US$659) respectively for its 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.

Vivo X50

Last but not the least, we have the most affordable model – Vivo X50. According to Vivo, this device is so far the slimmest 5G smartphone which has a slim profile of just 7.49mm.

At the front, it also comes with the same 6.56-inches FHD+ OLED display but it will be a flat panel instead of a curved one. It will also continue to sport a similar 32 megapixels selfie camera on the top-left corner.

Moving to its rear, the Vivo X50 also has four cameras at the back comprising of the same 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 main camera. In the case of the Vivo X50, there wouldn’t be any “gimbal-style” stabilization as the device will employ a standard OIS stabilization instead.

As for the other three cameras, it will be a 8 megapixels periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 13 megapixels portrait lens.

Just like the Vivo X50 Pro, the vanilla model will also be powered by a Snapdragon 765G SoC along with a 4,200mAh battery at the helm which supports 33W fast-charging.

As expected, the Vivo X50 will be priced more affordably at 3,498 Yuan (US$491) and 3,898 Yuan (US$547) respectively for its 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.
