Recently, we’d reported that the OPPO Reno4 series is expected to debut during the first-halve of August in a number of South-East Asian markets.
Now, OPPO Indonesia has officially confirmed that the Reno4 series will debut in Indonesia on August 6th. That’s a week later than the launch date of the Reno4 series in India which has been scheduled on July 31st.
The OPPO Reno4 series consists of two different smartphone models which include the vanilla Reno4 as well as a higher-end Reno4 Pro. As usual, the global variants of the Reno4 series will have different internals from the Chinese variants which were launched last month.
More specifically, we can expect the global Reno4 and Reno4 Pro to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset instead of the Snapdragon 765G which was found in the Chinese variants. As such, the global variants will only be able to support 4G LTE networks.
For the OPPO Reno4, it will maintain pretty much the same design as the Chinese variant. However, other than a slightly toned-down chipset, the OPPO Reno4 will comes with a slower 30W fast-charging as opposed to the ultra-fast 65W SuperVOOC 2.0. Surprisingly, the global variant do features a 3.5mm headphone jack which is definitely a plus point for some users.
Coming to the higher-end OPPO Reno4 Pro, the device will arrive with a quad-cameras system instead of a triple-camera system which we saw from its Chinese counterpart. Although the specifics of the rear cameras are not available, but it is likely to maintain the same 48 megapixels main camera.
Other than India and Indonesia, the OPPO Reno4 series will also be heading to several other markets including Malaysia in the coming weeks.
