iPhone 12 Series: Availability & Pricing in Singapore

Today is probably the most wonderful time of the year for all Apple fans. After months of leaks and rumors, Apple has finally announced the next-generation’s iPhone 12 series that consists of a total of four different models this time round.

Starting with the highest-end model, we have the iPhone 12 Pro Max, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12, and the iPhone 12 Mini. It is in fact the first time Apple actually launched so many iPhone models in one single event.

iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max

In terms of design, the new iPhone 12 Pro models flaunt a “new, sophisticated flat-edge design that features a gorgeous surgical-grade stainless steel band paired with a precision-milled matte glass back, and introduces the incredibly durable Ceramic Shield.”

For the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it is built around a 6.7-inches Super Retina XDR display that features nearly 3.5 million pixels – the highest among all iPhone devices we’d seen so far. On top of that, it also supports HDR video contents and offers a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The iPhone 12 Pro on the other hand, has a smaller 6.1-inches Super Retina XDR display display.

iPhone 12 Pro Max Color Variants

Coming to the camera department, both the iPhone 12 Pro models share the same quad camera setup headlined by a 12 megapixels (f/1.6 aperture) main camera that utilizes Apple’s 7-element lens.

For the iPhone 12 Pro Max, its main camera has a larger 1/1.7” sensor and uses a new sensor-shift system for its OIS to counteract movements. The iPhone 12 Pro however, will be coming with a smaller sensor and retains the traditional OIS instead of the new sensor-shift system for its OIS.

As for the ultra-wide camera, both devices share the same 12 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field of view. Unlike the main camera, the ultra-wide camera will be utilizing a 5-element lens.

Next, there will be some differences in terms of their telephoto camera. For the iPhone 12 Pro Max, has a slightly longer 65mm focal length that allows the device to achieve up to 2.5x optical zoom. The iPhone 12 Pro on the other hand, will settle with 52mm focal length that supports 2x optical zoom.

On top of that, the iPhone 12 Pro models do come with the new LiDAR scanner to deliver an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience for its users. Except for its telephoto cameras, all the cameras including the front-facing selfie camera will be able to support Night mode when taking photos in low-light environment.

Under the hood, all the iPhone 12 series devices are powered by the latest A14 Bionic chipset that features more than 11.8 billion transistors and delivers 50% higher performance than any other smartphones.

Both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants, and are offered in graphite, silver, gold, and pacific blue color variants.

In terms of pricing, the iPhone 12 Pro will be priced at S$1,649, S$1,819 and S$2,198 respectively for its 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models. As for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it will be priced at S$1,799, S$1,969 and S$2,299 respectively for its 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models.

Pre-order for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will commence on October 16th and November 6th respectively.

iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 Mini

Both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini shares pretty much the same specs, except for the difference in display size. The iPhone 12 sports a slightly larger 6.1-inches Super XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 12 Mini has a slightly smaller 5.4-inches Super XDR OLED display.

For photography, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will tout a similar dual camera setup comprising of a 12 megapixels (f/1.6 aperture) primary shooter with OIS stabilization, as well as a 12 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) ultra-wide lens. All cameras, including its selfie camera, will be able to support Night mode for low-light shots.

iPhone 12 Color Variants

Similar to the iPhone 12 Pro models, both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini is also driven by the latest A14 Bionic chipset. They will be available in three different storage variants including 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, as well as five distinct color options including blue, green, black, white, and (PRODUCT) RED.

Coming to the pricing, the iPhone 12 will be priced at S$1,299, S$1,369 and S$1,539 respectively for its 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models. As for the iPhone 12 Mini, it will be priced at S$1,149, S$1,219 and S$1,389 respectively for its 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models.

Pre-order for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will commence on October 16th and November 6th respectively.
