OnePlus 8T arrives with top-tier specs at a mouth-watering price

Following the successful launch of the OnePlus 8 series flagship phones and the ultra-competitive OnePlus Nord mid-ranger smartphone, OnePlus is finally back with the new OnePlus 8T that is set to become the most value-for-money flagship phone in Singapore.

Coming with a starting price of S$899, the new OnePlus 8T is slightly more affordable than the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S20 FE that carries an off-contract price of S$1,098.

Despite its lower pricing, the OnePlus 8T continues to bring the most advanced hardware features in the market that include the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform, buttery-smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate, 65W Warp Charge fast-charging solution, as well as 5G connectivity to the users.

Starting with the front, the all-new OnePlus 8T is built around a 6.55-inches hole-punched AMOLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution and support for HDR10+ contents.

Its 120Hz Fluid display delivers up to 1,100 nits peak brightness which ensures that your entertainment experience will not be compromised even under a direct sunlight. Other than these goodies, there will also be a 16 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) selfie camera as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Sitting at the heart of the device is none other than the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset that will bring unparalleled performance to its users. This will be further assisted by up to 12 gigs of LPDDR5 RAM and as much as 256 gigs of UFS 3.1 flash storage that promises a smooth user experience.

On top of that, another notable highlight include its dual stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos that brings surround sound to your device for an immersive entertainment experience.

To keep its lights on, the OnePlus 8T is fitted with a mammoth 4,500mAh battery that supports the latest 65W Warp Charge fast-charging technology. According to OnePlus, it will take a mere 39 minutes to bring the device from 0 to 100%.

Currently, the 65W charging rate is the fastest among all smartphones in the local market and will put it on par with the OPPO Reno4 Pro (Review) as well as the OPPO Find X2 Pro (Review).

On the software-side, the OnePlus 8T will be the first OnePlus device to be shipped with the latest OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. Its advanced hardware along with smooth software will make the device an all-rounded performing beast that excels in all fronts.

For those who’re interested, the OnePlus 8T will be available in two different flavors including the Lunar Silver model with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM as well as the Aquamarine Green model with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM. Prices will be tagged at S$899 and S$1,099 respectively.

According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 8T will be available for exclusive pre-order on Lazada from 17 to 23 October 2020. Customers will receive a OnePlus 8T Bumper case (worth S$39.90) through the pre-order.

Subsequently, it will be available island wide from Saturday, 24 October 2020, at OnePlus Lazada and Shopee online flagship store.
