Here’s a quick run-down for its specifications : 6-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 2GB RAM, 32 ROM, 8 Megapixels rear camera, 3 Megapixels front camera, 3,500 mAh battery as well as Android 4.2.1. Thanks to the developers of Framaroot, the Star HD9000+ can also be easily rooted in less than an hour. In this tutorial, we will be teaching you how to root the Star HD9000+ using Framaroot app.

Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

Follow the steps below on how to root the Star HD9000+

1. Download the Framaroot apk and place it on your desktop.
2. Connect the Star HD9000+ to your PC using the USB cable that comes along with the phablet.
3. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC and place it in your device’s SD card.
4. Go to your device’s security settings and make sure that the Unknown Sources option has been checked.
5. Open the file explorer app ( either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) on your device and install the Framaroot apk.
6. Launch the Framaroot app on your Star HD9000+.
7. Select the Install Superuser option as shown in the screenshot above.
8. Tap on the Boromir or Faramir option on the app.
9. A pop-up like the one above should appear on the screen.
10. Reboot your device.
11. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Star HD9000+.
