Samsung to Offer S Pen with Other Galaxy Devices, Confirms Samsung

Samsung announced the Galaxy S21 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 smartphones yesterday. The S21 Ultra became Samsung’s first non-Note series smartphone to arrive with support for S-Pen stylus. In an official statement, the South Korean company has confirmed that the S Pen support will be available on the Galaxy devices.

As it is known, the S Pen stylus has remained exclusive to the Note lineup since the first Galaxy Note phone that debuted in 2011. Unlike the Galaxy Note series, the S21 Ultra does not feature a storage compartment for the S Pen. Hence, owners of S21 Ultra who wish to take advantage of the S Pen experience are required to spend additional to get an S Pen. Moreover, they may also have to spend more to get a separate case to store the S Pen along with the S21 Ultra.

Readers should be aware of the fact that the S Pen for the S21 Ultra is not the same feature-rich stylus that is available with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. To be precise, the stylus for S21 Ultra does not carry support for Air Actions and Bluetooth. Any Wacom branded stylus can be used with the S21 Ultra.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Fold 3 later this year. Reports surrounding it have claimed that it will arrive with S Pen support. Probably, the company also enable S Pen support on cheaper phones in the near future.
