Realme GT Neo’s official launch could be imminent

Following the launch of the Realme GT flagship, Realme’s vice president Xu Qi had teased about the existence of a slightly more affordable GT series smartphone known as the Realme GT Neo.

Right now, he also seems to hint on the arrival of the Realme GT Neo in his latest Weibo post which raised speculations that the device could be launched by the end of the month.

Unlike the current Realme GT, the upcoming GT Neo will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1200 instead of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. In fact, the Realme GT Neo might even be the first smartphone in the world to feature this chipset.

Aside from the difference in their underlying chip, the rest of the specs should be largely similar to the Realme GT. It will however, be priced even lower than the Realme GT which currently has a starting price of 2,899 Yuan (US$448) in the Chinese market for its 8GB+128GB base model.

For those who’d missed out, some of the key highlights of the newly announced Realme GT include its 6.43? Super AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 chiset, 64MP triple-camera setup, 4,500mAh battery, as well as 65W SuperDart charging support.
