Following the launch of the Nubia Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro in the Chinese market this month, Nubia is now looking to launch the duo in the global market on April 9th during which both devices will be up for pre-orders. Subsequently, open sale for the devices will commence on April 15th.
For those who’re interested, the vanilla Red Magic 6 will be available for $599 /€599/ £509 for its sole 12GB+128GB memory configuration, while the Red Magic 6 Pro will set you back with $599/€599/£509 for the 16GB+256GB single configuration. Currently, both devices are available in a single color option with Red Magic 6 getting the Eclipse Black color and the Red Magic 6 Pro getting the Moon Silver colorway.
In terms of specs, both the Nubia Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro are largely similar. Therefore, both devices will arrive with the same 6.8” FHD+ AMOLED display, 165Hz screen refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 flash storage, 64MP triple-camera setup, 8MP selfie camera and ICE 6.0 multi-dimensional cooling system.
The key differences between the two devices however, lie within their battery capacity and charging speed. Although the Red Magic 6 has a slightly larger 5,050mAh battery capacity, but it gets a slightly slower 66W fast-charging. The Red Magic 6 Pro on the other hand, has a slightly smaller 4,500mAh battery which is equipped with the blazing-fast 120W fast-charging support.
Other than that, its also worth noting that the vanilla Red Magic 6 features a glass back while the “Pro” model comes with an Aviation-grade aluminum for its back panel.
