HiSense D50 is a phone designed for those who drops their phone frequently

Chinese smartphone maker HiSense has unveiled a new rugged phone dubbed as the HiSense D50 in it’s home market. Like any other rugged phones, the HiSense D50 is a smartphone designed with durability in mind, offering water, dust as well as shock proofing capabilities.

Upfront, the HiSense D50 sports a 6.53” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a 16 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes.

On the rear side of the phone, it has a vertically-stacked quad-camera array comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the HiSense D50 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc Tiger T7510 chipset which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

The phone draws power from a 5,010mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Interesting enough, the phone actually boots on Android 9.0 out of the box.

In terms of pricing, the phone is priced at 3,980 Yuan (US$617) for it’s 6GB+128GB model in the Chinese market.
