Following the launch of the Realme 9 5G smartphone last month, Realme has now returned with a new 4G variant of the phone which interestingly performs better than it’s 5G counterpart in several aspects other than the lack of 5G connectivity.
Starting with the front side of the phone, the Realme 9 4G comes with a vibrant 6.5” Super AMOLED display which offers a smooth 90Hz refresh rate alongside a responsive 360Hz touch sampling rate. On top of that, it also has an impressive peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and is equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen against scratches.
In the imaging department, the Realme 9 4G features a triple-cam unit on the rear side which will be lead by the latest 108 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main camera along with an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. This will be rounded out by a 16 megapixels front camera for selfies.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 4G is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Realme 9 4G is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which brings support for 33W fast-charging. Software-wise, the phone will be shipped with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Realme 9 4G is available in a trio of colors such as Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White and Meteor Black. The phone will be priced at INR17,999 (US$237) and INR18,999 (US$250) respectively for it’s 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variant.
