We all know having root-access on an Android smartphone will give us a lot more freedom to tweak and mod the device by installing custom ROMs and other root-only apps on them. In the past, rooting an Android smartphone is one of the most tedious thing to do, but thanks to various one-click-root program available – we can have it done in just a few minutes time.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Goophone S5 Pro

1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary USB driver on your PC.
3. Make sure there is at least 50% battery remaining on your Goophone S5 Pro smartphone.
4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
5. Back up the Goophone S5 Pro smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Goophone S5 Pro

1. Connect the Goophone S5 Pro handset to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
4. Open the Framaroot on your Goophone S5 Pro smartphone and you should be able to see a screen like the one below.
5. From the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
6. In the next section, choose the Boromir exploit to root Goophone S5 Pro.
7. You should be able to see a pop-up like the one above once the program has rooted your device.
8. Finally, reboot your Goophone S5 Pro smartphone immediately.
9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Goophone S5 Pro!
