Rumors are rife that POCO will unveil the POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro mid-range phones in the next few days in India as well as the global market. Several reports have claimed that the brand is also working on an F-series phone. While it is yet to be confirmed whether it will be called the POCO F5 5G or POCO F5 Pro 5G, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Mukul Sharma, reveals that its serial production has started in Asia and Europe. Hence, it appears that the launch of the next-generation F-series could be a few weeks away.
Redmi unveiled the Redmi K60e, Redmi K60, and Redmi K60 Pro in China recently. Rumors are rife that the K60 will be released outside of China as an F-series POCO phone. It is unclear whether the POCO device will have some minor changes as compared to the K60.
The Redmi K60 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and 30W wireless charging.
The K60 has a 6.67-inch OLED QHD+ 120Hz display. For security, it will have an in-display fingerprint reader. The tablet runs an MUI-13-flavored version of Android 13. It has a front-facing 16-megapixel camera as well as a triple camera system with 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (depth).
While the tipster has called the next-generation F-series phone the POCO F5 5G, recent reports have claimed that it will be dubbed the POCO F5 Pro 5G. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm its moniker.
