Realme is soon going to launch the Realme GT Neo 6 series of smartphones in China. It is speculated to arrive in two options, such as the GT Neo 6 offering 150W charging and the GT Neo 6 240W supporting 240W fast charging. Around the same time, OnePlus is expected to announce the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has teased the launch timeframe and key specifications of both smartphones.
According to the tipster, the Realme GT Neo 6 series and the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will debut in August in China. The tipster revealed that both phones will have an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that works at 3.2GHz, 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Previous reports have claimed that the Ace 2 Pro will have a curved-edge display, whereas the GT Neo 6 series will have a flat screen.
Both phones will also feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera. Both devices will also support 150W charging. The tipster added that the advantage of the Ace 2 Pro is that it is equipped with efficient heat dissipation technology, whereas the GT Neo 6 series can benefit from 240W fast charging.
These smartphones will compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered iQOO 11S, which recently debuted in the Chinese market. The upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra, which will feature the Dimensity 9200 Plus chip, is also expected to rival the GT Neo 6 series, Ace 2 Pro, and 11S.
The K60 Ultra is speculated to be released in the global market under the Xiaomi 13T Pro moniker. It is unclear whether the iQOO 11S, Realme GT Neo 6 series, and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will also be released in the global market.
