OnePlus Ace 2 Pro to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

An image shared by Chinese tipster WHY LAB from today’s OnePlus event in China reveals an exciting detail about the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. The device will be powered by the highly capable Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is also featured in the OnePlus 11 5G, and several other flagship phones launched this year.

OnePlus also confirmed some key details about the heat dissipation system of the Ace 2 Pro. According to the brand, the smartphone features an innovative Taingong cooling system, a groundbreaking feature claimed to be a first in the industry. It will outperform the most powerful vapor chamber liquid cooling units on the market by at least two generations, according to OnePlus.

Impressively, the Ace 2 Pro’s internal cooling system covers an expansive vapor chamber area of 9140mm², making it the only one in the industry with such a large heat dissipation unit. OnePlus has also used aerospace-grade diamond thermally conductive gel and superconducting thermal graphite for superior heat dissipation on the Ace 2 Pro.

These advanced materials ensure the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro maintains peak performance without overheating. This could be the device that is rumored to launch as the OnePlus 12R, a gaming-friendly device, in the global market in the coming months. Reports have revealed that the device will come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 32-megapixel front camera, 50-megapixel triple rear cameras, and a 5,500mAh battery with 150W charging support.
