Realme has finally confirmed the launch date of the Realme GT 5. The smartphone is scheduled to break cover at 2 pm (local time) on Aug. 28 in China. The company confirmed that it will also unveil the Realme Buds Air 5 along with the GT 5.
Realme GT 5 specifications
The Realme GT 5 launch date mainly teases the design of the phone but does not state anything about its specifications. Recent reports have revealed almost everything about its specifications.
The Realme GT 5 is expected to arrive in two battery variants. The model packing a 4,600mAh battery will offer 240W fast charging, whereas the 5,200mAh model may support 150W rapid charging. The other specifications are likely to be the same on both models.
The Realme GT 5 will arrive with a flat OLED display of 6.74 inches. It will offer a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The GT 5 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the device will feature a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper.
The Bud Air 5 will be positioned lower than the Realme Buds Air 5, which was introduced with a price tag of 399 Yuan ($55). The Buds Air will come with 50dB ANC and 4000Hz ultra-wide noise reduction. Before debuting in China, the Buds Air 5 is slated to break cover on Aug. 28 along with the Realme 11 5G and the Realme 11x 5G in India.
