On Oct. 27, Vivo will unveil the Vivo Y100 5G smartphone in China. The device is said to be different from the Y100, which was announced earlier this year in the country. Today, the company released a couple of posters to confirm key details about the Y100 heading towards the Chinese market.
The first poster reveals that the Vivo Y100 5G will have a 6.78-inch OLED panel, which supposedly supports a Full HD+ resolution. It will have a layer of Schott’s display protection layer for scratch and wear resistance.
The back panel of the Y100 has 3D curved glass and a dual-camera system. It will arrive in green and blue shades. It appears that the device is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The Y100 will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery. Despite packing a big battery, the device will have a slim profile of 7.49mm. It is believed that the Vivo V2313A device, which was recently approved by China’s TENAA authority, will debut in the Chinese market as the Vivo Y100.
In comparison, the Vivo Y100 5G available in India has a smaller display measuring 6.38 inches. In addition, it packs a smaller 4,500mAh battery with a thickness of 7.7mm. Vivo is expected to confirm other details of the Y100’s Chinese variant tomorrow.
In related news, MediaTek has confirmed that it will announce its next launch event on Nov. 6. The event will see the arrival of the Dimensity 9300 chipset.
