Samsung Galaxy A55 images appear via certification, may launch soon

Samsung is reportedly working on a couple of A-series phones, such as the Galaxy A35 5G and the Galaxy A55. Rumors are rife that both phones may debut in the first quarter of 2024. Ahead of the expected launch, the A55 has seemingly appeared in the database of China’s MIIT certification. The images available in the listing reveal the design of the phone.

The images of the Galaxy A55 show that it has a simple design similar to the Galaxy A54 from last year. The device has a punch-hole display on the front. It appears to be an AMOLED panel equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

According to leaks, the Galaxy A55 5G has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is being said that the device will have an IP67-rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis.

On the back, the device has three cameras accompanied by an LED flash. As per reports, the device will feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main camera. It will be joined by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, the device may feature a 32-megapixel front camera.

The device is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Under the hood, the device may offer the Exynos 1480 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage. It is expected to run on One UI 6.1-based Android 14.
