Last month, Vivo announced the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro as the world’s first smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9400 in China. Recent reports suggest that the brand is now working on the S20 series of mid-range phones for the home market. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu, has revealed the key details about the S20 series, including the launch timeframe.

According to the tipster, the Vivo S20 series is scheduled to launch by the end of this month (November) in China. The leak indicates that the Snapdragon 7-series chip and the Dimensity 9300 SoC, respectively, will power the S20 and S20 Pro. Other reports suggest that the standard model might come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
The Vivo S20 series is expected to sport an ultra-thin design packed with a huge battery of around 6,500mAh capacity. Both phones are expected to feature large OLED panels that support 1.5K resolution.
The S20 could be equipped with a flat display and a dual-camera system on the back. On the other hand, the S20 Pro may have a curved-edge screen and a triple camera setup that includes a telephoto camera.
It is speculated that the Vivo V2429A phone, which was recently certified by Chinese authorities like TENAA and 3C, could be the upcoming Vivo S20 handset. The device was spotted with specs, such as a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, a around 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, a 50-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system, an IR blaster, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device measures 160.35 x 74.18 x 7.19mm and weighs 185.5 grams.
