According to several sources, the lineup is expected to come with a battery capacity exceeding 6,000mAh, though the exact size has not been specified.
OnePlus Ace 5 series key specifications, launch timeframe (rumored)
The OnePlus Ace 5 series will include both a standard version and a Pro version. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will power the standard Ace 5, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip will power the Pro version. Both models will sport flagship-level displays from BOE with a 1.5K resolution and a micro-quad-curved design. The screens will also offer a 120Hz refresh rate and incorporate optical in-screen fingerprint sensors for enhanced security and usability.
In terms of photography, the OnePlus Ace 5 will come with a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel lens. The Ace 5 Pro will see significant improvements in its imaging capabilities, expected to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main camera and a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 telephoto sensor, utilizing the same image processing algorithms found in the Find X8 series.
Battery life and charging capabilities are another highlight of these new devices. Both versions are expected to feature a 6,200mAh or 6,300mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. Like the OP13, the new Ace models will run on ColorOS 15-based Android 15.
The new leak reveals that the Ace 5 series will launch in December. This means that it will rival the iQOO Neo 10 series and the Redmi K80 lineup in the Chinese market. Reports suggest that the Ace 5 Pro may remain exclusive to the Chinese market, whereas the Ace 5 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R globally.
