Vivo has officially confirmed that it will launch the Vivo Y400 on Aug. 4 in India. This phone is different from the Snapdragon 685-powered Vivo Y400, a 4G LTE offering, that has just gone official in Indonesia. Here’s a look at everything known about this new phone.
Vivo Y400 5G: What’s known so far

As can be seen above, Vivo has only confirmed the Vivo Y400’s rear design but hasn’t revealed anything about its specifications. The device will come in shades like green and white.
Recently, the Vivo Y400 5G was spotted at the Google Play Console, which revealed its front design and a few specifications. The device was found to be equipped with a curved-edge AMOLED display that supports an FHD+ resolution. Likely, the screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Play Console listing also suggested that the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It may run on Android 15 and ship with 8GB of RAM.
As per a report by 91mobiles, the Vivo Y400 5G may house a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging support. It is expected to arrive with an IP68/69-rated body. At present, there is no information about the Y400’s camera specifications and storage capacities.
The Y400 is expected to be priced at around Rs 20,000 (~$230) in India. It may come in shades like Olive Green and Glam White.
In related news, the Vivo T4R is slated to go official on July 31 in India. Designed for 4K vlogging, the T4R comes equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and Dimensity 7400 chip. Vivo has already started teasing the arrival of the Vivo V60 in India. Speculations are rife that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4-powered device will debut on Aug. 12 in the country.
