Redmi held a launch event in China yesterday to unveil the Redmi K90 Max, Redmi K Pad 2, Redmi Pad 2 SE 4G, and Redmi Buds 8 TWS earbuds. Shortly after the launch, Redmi announced a strong start for the K90 Max, confirming that it has received a positive response from the market.
Redmi K90 Max sets new first-sale benchmark

According to the company, the Redmi K90 Max became the best-selling new phone in the 3,000 to 4,000 Yuan segment within just four hours of its first sale.
The K90 Max is available in five variants: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. These variants are priced at 2,999 Yuan ($440), 3,499 Yuan ($515), 3,499 Yuan ($515), 3,999 Yuan ($590), and 4,699 Yuan ($695), respectively. It comes in shades such as silver, black, and blue.
In terms of positioning, the Redmi K90 Max sits between the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max. While the existing models feature Snapdragon 8-series chipsets, the Max variant comes equipped with a MediaTek chip. Another factor that sets it apart is the inclusion of a built-in cooling fan.

The Redmi K90 Max runs on the Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with an AI-driven dedicated graphics chip that delivers strong benchmark scores and stable gaming performance. It supports LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast app loading and smooth multitasking.
The device also features a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and packs an 8550mAh battery with 100W charging.As mentioned above, a major highlight is its active cooling system with a built-in fan, designed to maintain lower temperatures during extended gaming sessions without compromising durability ratings such as IP66, IP68, and IP69.
