Last month, MediaTek announced its first 6nm chipsets namely, the Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200. The former is an inferior edition of the latter. Both chipsets are designed to power upcoming upper mid-range phones. Today, a known tipster from China revealed that a prototype unit powered with Dimensity 1100 chipset scored around 580,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks.
According to the tipster, the Dimensity 1100 chipset scored nearly 160,000 in the CPU test of AnTuTu and it recorded around 210,000 in the graphics test. These scores have allowed the SoC to achieve around 580k on the benchmarking platform.
The Dimensity 1100 chipset has 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 high performance cores clocking at 2.6GHz and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores working at 2.0GHz. On the other side, the more powerful Dimensity 1200 chipset has 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 prime core working at 3.0GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 high performance cores ticking at 2.6GHz and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores clocking at 2.0GHz. Both SoCs have ARM Mali-G77 MC9 graphics.
The Dimensity 1200 chipset was seen with 622,409 AnTuTu score. It will be powering a couple of upper mid-range phones from brands like Redmi and Realme. Recently, a mysterious Vivo V2027A phone was spotted with the Dimensity 1100 chipset on Google Play Console with some of its key specs.
The V2027A handset was found to be equipped with an FHD+ display, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. The image of the phone that was found in the listing revealed that it a wide notch for a dual selfie camera system like the Vivo V20 Pro 5G smartphone. The other details of the smartphone are yet to be revealed. Also, there is no word on its final product name.
