Entry-level iQOO Phone with 5G Support May Launch Soon; Could be iQOO U3x

Yesterday, iQOO teased the arrival of a new Z-series phone in China. This handset is believed to launch as the iQOO Z3. Fresh information shared by a reliable Chinese tipster reveals that the company is working on an entry-level iQOO phone with 5G support. This device might be the rumored iQOO U3x smartphone.

The tipster revealed that the upcoming entry-level iQOO phone is powered by the Snapdragon 480 and features a 90Hz display. For photography, it features a 13-megapixel dual-camera system. It will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery.

The tipster did not share information on its other specifications. He claimed that the phone could be priced around 1,000 Yuan ($154).

Earlier this month, a tipster claimed that iQOO may launch two budget-friendly such as iQOO Z3 and iQOO U3x by the end of this month. Since the company is known for launching U-series phones with entry-level specs, it is likely that the tipster could be talking about the iQOO U3x smartphone.

The iQOO U3x could be positioned lower than the Dimensity 800U powered iQOO U3 phone that went official in China in December.  The U3 was a rebranded version of the Vivo Y52s 5G smartphone. The leaked specs that have appeared today matches with the Vivo Y31s 5G phone that debuted in January in China. Hence, there is a possibility that the Y31s 5G may get rebranded as the iQOO U3x in China.

The Vivo Y31s 5G came with specs like a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate support, Snapdragon 480, 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. For photography, it offered users with an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system.
