Google Pixel 9 CAD renders emerge again, Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL tipped to be in works

Google is said to be working on the Pixel 9 series of smartphones. All the predecessor Pixel series flagship phones have been launched in pairs. However, a new report by 91mobiles claims that the series will have as many as three models. Earlier this year, reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) collaborated with MySmartPrice to release CAD renders of the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro. However, the new report states that those renders actually belonged to the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The new report carries the CAD renders of the Pixel 9. Here is a look at what to expect from the Pixel 9 series’ standard model.

The CAD renders of the Pixel 9 show that it has a punch-hole display with rounded corners on the front. The Pixel 9 boasts flat edges and a rounded horizontal camera module. The horizontal bar houses two cameras and an LED flash.

The report states that the Pixel 9 will measure around 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm. The thickness will increase to 12mm at the camera bump. According to reports, the device will boast a 6.03-inch OLED panel. On the other hand, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are expected to feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED panels, respectively.

The report has no information about the other specifications of the Pixel 9 series. Uncertainty surrounds whether the Pixel 9 will feature the same Tensor G4 chip that powers the Pro models.

The Pixel 9 series is expected to break cover in October of this year. It is likely that the upcoming Google I/O 2024, scheduled for Q2 this year, will see the arrival of the Pixel 8a and the Pixel Fold 2.
