Yesterday, we’d just seen the official render of the upcoming OnePlus 8 5G in it’s Onyx Black color option. Hours later, courtesy of German publisher Winfuture.de, we’re able to see the device in another two color variants known as Interstellar Glow and Glacier Green color.
A familiar design leaked six months ago
You may realize, the official render of the OnePlus 8 5G is utterly similar to the earlier CAD images published by reputable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer back in October last year. This means we’d actually seen the actual design of the handset at least six months prior to it’s official launch.
Whatever it is, the OnePlus 8 5G will feature a 6.55-inches AMOLED hole-punched display that compasses a FHD+ screen resolution alongside an impressive 90Hz screen refresh rate. The tiny hole-punched compartment will be home to a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Over at the back, we will see a conventional vertical camera module which play host to a triple-camera setup that includes a 48 megapixels main shooter, 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as another 2 megapixels sensor which is believed to be a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Snapdragon 865 & UFS 3.0 Flash Storage
According to earlier reports, the OnePlus 8 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC which will be paired with an option of 8GB/ 12GB LPDDRX4 RAM and 128GB/ 256GB UFS 3.0 flash storage.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 8 will be fueled by a hefty 4,300mAh battery which supports 30W Warp Charge 30T fast charging. However, there will be no wireless or reverse charging capability on the OnePlus 8.
Expected Availability
Although OnePlus has yet to reveal anything about the OnePlus 8 5G’s launch date, but a recent report originating from TechRadar suggests a mid-April unveiling for the device.
