Here’s a quick comparison between the Honor 30 Pro+ & Huawei P40 key specs

Honor has finally announced the company’s highly-anticipated Honor 30 flagship series during an online launch event earlier today. To mark this special occasion, we’d done up a quick comparison between the Honor 30 Pro+ and Huawei P40 flagship as these two devices seem pretty similar in terms of specs and even pricing.

Let’s start with their front display. Both the Honor 30 Pro+ and Huawei P40 utilizes an OLED panel with FHD+ screen resolution. However, the Honor 30 Pro+ supports a silky smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate, while the Huawei P40 has a refresh rate of 60Hz. Both devices are driven by the flagship Kirin 990 SoC which allows the devices to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes.

Coincidentally, the pair also feature a triple-camera setup comprising of a 50 megapixels Sony’s IMX 700 main camera, a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as an 8 megapixels telephoto lens. However, the Honor 30 Pro+ could support up to 50x digital zoom but the Huawei P40 could only achieve up to 30x digital zoom.

At the front, the Honor 30 Pro+ touts a dual-camera setup consisting of a 32 megapixels main camera and an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens. The Huawei P40 on the other hand, has a single 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Honor 30 Pro+ has a slightly larger 4,000mAh battery which comes with 40W fast-charging support and 30W wireless charging support. The Huawei P40 in contrast, has a watered-down 3,800mAh battery with only 22.5W fast-charging support which has no wireless charging capability.

Therefore, it is pretty obvious that the Honor 30 Pro+ is a better option on paper even though both devices arrive with the same price point.
