Honor 30 Vs Huawei Nova 7: Both are two pretty similar phones

Yesterday, Huawei finally took the wrap off their feverishly-anticipated Nova 7 smartphone series. To mark this special occasion, we will do a quick comparison between the Huawei Nova 7 and the recently announced Honor 30. These two devices share the same launch price in the Chinese market, and is therefore worth taking some time to look at what are their similarities and differences.

Front Display

As usual, lets begin with the front display. In this aspect, both the Honor 30 and Huawei Nova 7 shares the same 6.53-inches OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution. As such, both devices also come with support for in-display fingerprint sensor.

Camera System

In terms of cameras, both the Honor 30 and Huawei Nova 7 will feature a quad-cameras array. The Huawei Nova 7 has a 64MP main camera, while the Honor 30 on the other hand, utilizes a 40MP IMX600 sensor as its main camera.

Moving on, both devices will come with an 8 megapixels ultra-wide and telephoto lens. However, it’s worth noting that the Honor 30’s telephoto lens has a longer focal length which allows it to achieve a higher zoom level of up to 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. The Nova 7 in comparison, is only able to achieve up to 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. As for the selfie camera, both devices will tout the same 32 megapixels sensor.

Performance

Their similarities extend to the common Kirin 985 SoC under the hood. This is a 5G-enabled SoC which will allow the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. Moreover, they also have up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage as well.

Battery

Last but not the least, the Honor 30 and Huawei Nova 7 are both fueled by a respectable 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support.
