How to root Goophone N3 using the Framaroot app

The Goophone N3 is the first octa-core smartphone ever released by Goophone back in April this year. We have seen several impressive handsets released by Goophone since last year which include the bestselling Goophone One.

The Goophone N3 sports a 5.7-inches HD display powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core chipset with 1GB RAM. Like many other Android smartphones running on a Mediatek processor, we can also root Goophone N3 rather easily using the Framaroot app. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Goophone N3 in less than an hour.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Goophone N3

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary USB driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 50% battery remaining on your Goophone N3 smartphone.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Goophone N3 smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Goophone N3

  1. Connect the Goophone N3 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot on your Goophone N3 smartphone and you should be able to see a screen like the one below.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root How to root Goophone N3From the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the next section, choose the Boromir exploit to root Goophone N3.
  7. success pop up in FramarootYou should be able to see a pop-up like the one above once the program has rooted your device.
  8. Finally, reboot your Goophone N3 smartphone immediately.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Goophone N3!
