The Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 is a mid-range Android tablet released by Chinese manufacturer Huawei back in April last year. The tablet rocks a 8″ IPS display powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core chipset along with 1GB of RAM. Other key specs include a 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 5MP rear camera, 1MP front camera, 4,800mAh battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running out of the box.

- Download Root Genius to your PC.
- Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver before moving on.
- Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings. To do so, you have to go to your device’s settings and then tap on the Developer option multiple times to enable USB debugging from the Advance settings.
- Make sure there is more than 50% battery remaining on your Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 tablet.
- Back up your Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 smartphone.
Follow the steps below on how to root Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0
- Extract the rootgenius.zip file to a folder on your desktop.
- Inside the extracted folder, double-click on a rootgenius executable file to install the program on your PC.
- Connect the Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
- Launch the Root Genius program on your PC.
- Make sure it is able to detect your device.
- Once it detected your device, click on the Root button at the bottom right.
