How to Root the Window N70S Tutorial

How to Root the Window N70S TutorialThe Window N70S, also commonly known as the YuanDao N70S in the Chinese market, is a budget Android tablet running on the Android 4.1 OS. After using the tablet for quite sometime, you might be bored by its default home screen and want to tweak it a little. To do so is simple – you just have to root the tablet and install custom ROMs on it. If you have no idea how to root, then you’re at the right place! This tutorial will show you how to get your Window N70S rooted in less than an hour.

However before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

Follow the steps below on how to root the Window N70S:

  1. Download the Rooting Script.
  2. Extract the files to your desktop.
  3. Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
  4. Connect the Window N70S to your PC using a USB cable. At this point of time, the device’s driver should be installed automatically.
  5. Once the device’s driver is installed, right-click on the n70dc_jelly_bean_script_v0.5 ( which you have extracted ) and click on the Run as administrator option.
  6. From the tool, select the Root option to begin rooting the tablet.
  7. Once done, reboot your device.
  8. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Window N70S.
