HTC to Launch 5G Phone in July

In 2018, HTC had launched the HTC U12+ flagship phone. The Exodus 1 blockchain phone was also announced in the same year. Both phones were driven by Snapdragon 845 chipset. Since then, HTC hasn’t launched a flagship phone. HTC is speculated to be working on a 5G smartphone and it may launch in July. The handset could be a flagship or a high-end smartphone.

According ePrice, HTC Taiwan General Manager Chen Boyu had said in an interview that HTC will be launching 5G mobile phones in Taiwan when 5G connectivity commercializes in the country. The publication claims that the first 5G phone from HTC may go official in July. However, it is unclear whether it will be a flagship or a high-end device.

HTC Desire 20 Pro

The publication has revealed that HTC is also working on a 4G smartphone that is likely to go official in June. The name of the device is not known yet. There is a possibility that it could be Desire 20 Pro smartphone that had surfaced in rumors a few weeks ago.

Leaked information has revealed that the HTC Desire 20 Pro will be coming with a display that features a punch-hole at its top left corner. The back panel of the phone features a triple camera setup and a traditional fingerprint reader.

The Snapdragon 665 mobile platform is likely to power the HTC Desire 20 Pro along with 6 GB of RAM. The other specifications of the smartphone are under wraps.
