Huawei Mate X TENAA Listing with 5G Support Appears; China Launch Imminent

A new Huawei 5G phone that has a model number of TAH-AN00 has been approved by the TENAA telecom authority in China. The model number belongs to the Huawei Mate X 5G foldable phone.

Huawei Mate X (TAH-AN00) Specifications

The TENAA listing of the Huawei Mate X states that it measures 161.3 x 146.2 x 11mm and it weighs 287 grams. It will be arriving in China in colors like Star Blue and more. The foldable phone features an 8-inch OLED display that offers 2480 x 2200. TENAA listing of the phone has no details on the secondary AMOLED display that measures 6.6 inches and supports 2480 x 1148 pixels resolution. It has a minimum rated battery of 4,400mAh capacity.

The Kirin 980 chipset powers the Mate X. As per TENAA listing, it may come in models like 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The EMUI 9 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. For more storage, the Mate X supports up to 256 GB of nanoSD card.

There is no front-facing camera on the Mate X. It is equipped with quad camera setup on its rear that includes a 40-megapixel main lens, a 16-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel lens and a 3D ToF sensor. The Mate X has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The 3C listing of the smartphone has already confirmed that the first foldable phone from the company will carry support for 55W fast charging.
