Huawei P10 will be coming next year, according to Huawei’s marketing director

During an interview at AfricaCom 2016 held in Cape Town,  Huawei’s marketing director for sub-Saharan Africa, Hawa Hyath, has confirmed with reporters that the Huawei P10 will be launched next year (probably during the Q2 period).

According to him, the company will be bringing the Huawei Nova to South Africa on 2nd February next year and is also planning to carry the newly unveiled Huawei Mate 9 into the South African market during Q1 2017, although he do revealed that they are “looking at having product in-store in March”.

He further adds on that their “primary focus is to bring in Huawei Nova, then we’ll be concentrating on Mate 9. Thereafter, P10 will be the main focus”. This undeniably hinted that the Huawei P10 could possibly be launched somewhere during Q2 2017, which coincide with the Huawei P9 which was also announced back in April last year.

Of course, the Huawei P10 hasn’t been revealed yet, but we’re expecting it to pack a Kirin 960 processor, being the same chip as the Mate 9.

Before he ends off, he also gave us some heads up that the Huawei P10 could be packed with the same Kirin 960 SoC which was featured in the latest Huawei Mate 9 as well.
