iQOO is expected to announce the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro smartphones by the end of this year. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the primary camera of the iQOO 12.
According to the tipster, the upcoming iQOO flagship phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will be equipped with an OmniVision primary camera. In all likelihood, the tipster seems to be talking about the iQOO 12. To be specific, the tipster claimed that the flagship phone will have an OmniVision OV50H 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch primary camera, which has a sensor size of 1.2?m.
While the tipster has revealed the main camera of the iQOO 12, it is unclear whether the Pro model will also have the same primary snapper. According to another Weibo post by the tipster, the Vivo X100 series, which is expected to launch later this year, may feature the Sony IMX9-series 50-megapixel primary camera.
The tipster has previously revealed that the iQOO 12 will arrive with a flat AMOLED panel that offers a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to arrive in two configurations of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, such as 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. The iQOO 12’s battery size is not known yet. However, it is expected to support 100W fast charging.

The Z8 is expected to arrive with a 120Hz LCD display, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, a Dimensity 8200 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The Z8x is likely to feature a 120Hz LCD panel, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 8 GB of RAM, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging.
