iQOO will be announcing the iQOO Neo5 smartphone in China on March 16. While the iQOO 7 that debuted in January featured the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, it is speculated that the Neo5 will be arriving with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. New images of the smartphone have appeared to reveal its front and rear design.
The first image reveals that the iQOO Neo5’s display has a top-centered punch-hole. It appears that the smartphone is compatible with 90 frames “Honor of Kings” and 90 / 120 frames of “Game for Peace.” The handset is equipped with features likes “game frame insertion” and “stabilized frame rate” for improved gaming experience.
The second image reveals that it features a rectangle-shaped camera module and an LED flash unit. The blurry text above the LED flash suggests that it will come with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Previous reports have revealed that the iQOO Neo5 has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 lens as the primary shooter. It could be accompanied by a 13-megapixel superwide lens and a 2-megapixel lens. There is no word on the front camera of the Neo5.
The iQOO Neo5 is said to be equipped with a Samsung E3 AMOLED screen that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. The handset may come in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM editions. It could be available in storage choices like 128 GB and 256 GB. The phone will come loaded with OriginOS based Android 11 OS. The handset is expected to arrive with support for 66W fast charging.
The Neo5 could be equipped with other features like stereo speakers and a linear motor. At present, there is no word on its pricing.
