Over the past couple of weeks, we’d been hearing a great deal about the upcoming iQOO Neo5 smartphone. Now, we finally have official confirmation from the company that the iQOO Neo5 will be launched on March 16th next month.
Unlike the recently announced iQOO 7, the iQOO Neo5 shapes up to be a more affordable variant which opts for a slightly toned down Snapdragon 870 chipset over the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Moreover, a recent leak also suggested that the iQOO Neo5 may be featuring a Samsung E3 AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz screen refresh rate.
In the camera department, it is expected to feature a pretty standard triple-camera setup consisting of a 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 primary shooter, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as another 2 megapixels depth/ macro camera.
Although the device might come with a slightly larger 4,400mAh battery, but it will lack the 120W fast-charging support seen on the iQOO7. Instead, it is tipped to support either 66W/ 88W wired charging.
Earlier this week, the global variant of the iQOO Neo5 was allegedly spotted on Geekbench as well.
