Chinese smartphone brands are launching compact gaming tablets to rival the Apple iPad Mini. In recent weeks, the Chinese market has received the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Red Magic Tablet 3 Pro and the Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4). Additionally, the Redmi K Pad tablet equipped with the Dimensity 9400 Plus is set to debut this month in China. A new leak reveals that iQOO is also working on a compact gaming tablet.
iQOO’s compact gaming tablet’s details leaked

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shed light on the early development phase of this upcoming device, which is expected to arrive in the latter half of 2025. The tablet is being described as a lightweight flagship, built with gamers in mind.
As per the leak, iQOO’s gaming tablet is set to feature a custom 8.35-inch LCD display. This screen is said to support a 3K+ resolution along with an ultra-high refresh rate. While the final hardware is yet to be confirmed, the prototype is currently under evaluation with two flagship-grade chipsets – the Snapdragon 8 Elite and the Dimensity 9400+.
The tipster has claimed that the device is powered by the “N-1 platform,” which refers to using a hardware or software platform that is one generation behind the latest available version. He is referring to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400+, which will be one generation behind when the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500 debut in September.
Although iQOO is expected to launch the iQOO 15 and 15 Pro in China by late September or early October, it remains unclear if this gaming tablet will debut alongside those devices or arrive independently. Hopefully, more details about the iQOO compact gaming tablet, including its moniker, will appear in the coming days.
