LG G7 vs. Samsung Galaxy S9 in Early 2018 as Both Arriving with Snapdragon 845

The Snapdragon 845 chipset is the successor SoC for the highly potent Snapdragon 835 chip from Qualcomm that is present under the hood of several flagship phones of this year. A Korean publication has revealed that the LG G7 would be featuring the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 is also rumored to feature the same chip.

The Korean publication has revealed that LG has partnered with Qualcomm to make sure the LG G7 will be powered by Snapdragon 845. Since the initial stock of Snapdragon 835 chip was reserved for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones, LG had to launch the LG G6 with last year’s flagship chip, the Snapdragon 821.

The LG G7 is expected to come with support for virtual reality as well as augmented reality. Hence, the adoption of Snapdragon 845 seems inevitable for the LG G7. The LG G6 has received good reception from the critics and the South Korean company claims that the configuration of Snapdragon 821 SoC is optimized and stable than this year’s Snapdragon 835. The LG G7 and Galaxy S9 are expected to enter fierce battle in 2018 as both are expected to get announced in the first quarter of the year.
