In the previous week, LG had revealed that its upcoming 5G-ready upper midrange phone will be debuting as LG Velvet. The South Korean company had also revealed the rear design of the phone. The company has released a new video that has not only revealed the front and rear design of the LG Velvet, but also it has confirmed its color variants.
In the new video, the LG Velvet phone can be seen sporting a 3D arc design. In simpler terms, the side edges on the front and rear side of the phone are curved. The rear shell has a “raindrop camera” setup in which the three lenses and LED flash can be seen arranged in descending order of size.
The LG Velvet will be coming in four attractive colors such as white, silver, orange-pink gradient and green. Even though it is not a flagship device, the phone seems to have a premium finish. The handset is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack. At the front, the phone features a waterdrop notch screen. The teaser video confirms that the Snapdragon 765G chipset will be present under the hood of the LG Velvet.
Hence, it appears that the LG Velvet will be inheriting the specifications that were supposed to arrive on the cancelled LG G9 ThinQ smartphone. The presence of SD765G chip confirms that it will carry support for 5G connectivity. Lastly, the display of the phone shows the May 15 date mentioned on it. Past reports have claimed that the South Korean company may unveil the LG Velvet phone on May 15.
Past reports have claimed that the LG Velvet could be housing a 6.7-inch or 6.9-inch display. A 4,000mAh battery may power the device and it may have a 48-megapixel main camera on its back.
