A teaser that was released by Meizu yesterday revealed that it will be confirming on the launch date of the Meizu 17 today. The Chinese company today confirmed that the Meizu 17 series will break cover on May 8.
Since the launch poster says Meizu 17 series, it can be assumed that the company will be announcing more than one device at the event. Rumors are rife that Meizu will be unveiling Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro smartphones on May 8.
The poster shows a box with a horizontal opening. Past reports have revealed that the Meizu 17 series will be coming with a horizontal arrangement for the rear cameras. The company also said that it will be working overtime for the production of the Meizu 17 series so that the stocks can meet the expectations of the consumers.
The Meizu 17 teasers have shown that it will be sporting slim-sized white colored bezels on all four sides of its display. The screen is flat and it has a small punch-hole placed at the top-right corner.
The Meizu 17 and 17 Pro smartphones have reportedly bagged 3C certifications in China. The Meizu 17 is expected to arrive with 30W fast charging whereas the Meizu 17 Pro may carry support for faster 40W rapid charging.
Rumors have it that the Meizu 17 has a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with in-screen fingerprint reader. The screen is expected to support 90Hz refresh rate. The phone may come with a 4,500mAh battery and a 64-megapixel quad camera setup. Some of its other speculated features are NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and stereos speakers.
