Earlier this afternoon, Xiaomi announced on it’s Weibo microblog platform that the company had generated more than 3 million Yuan in revenue within a minute during the Xiaomi Mix 4’s debut sale.
However, the Xiaomi Mix 4 isn’t the only device that’s selling like hot cakes in the Chinese market. The newly announced Mi Pad 5 series which debut alongside the Xiaomi Mix 4 last week, was equally well received in the Chinese market.
Xiaomi claimed that the company managed to sell more than 200,000 Mi Pad 5 series tablets in just five minutes during it’s debut sale. The figure includes the sales number of both the vanilla Mi Pad 5 and the higher-end Mi Pad 5 Pro.
Although there still isn’t any words on the global availability of the new Mi Pad 5 series, but a recent report suggested that the new slates could be heading to the European market somewhere next month.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 features an 11” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, HDR10 support, as well as a peak brightness of 500 nits. Apart from that, the front display also comes with a new TrueTone technology which allows the display to automatically adjusts colors and brightness according to the amount of ambient light.
Just like any other premium slates in the market, the Mi Pad 5 also brings support for stylus pen and magnetic keyboard cover to allow better productivity on the tablet. In the imaging front, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 gets a single 13 megapixels shooter at the back, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls.
Under the hood, it’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 860 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. It also draws power from a respectable 8,720mAh battery which carries support for 33W fast-charging.
