Motorola has launched several models under its Edge 60 series in recent months, including the Edge 60, Edge 60 Stylus, Edge 60 Fusion, and Edge 60 Pro. However, the company has yet to release the Edge 60 Ultra. While the rumor mill hasn’t provided concrete details about its existence, a new leak suggests that Motorola could already be working on its 2026 flagship device.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra to launch next year
According to the tipster, there may not be an Edge 60 Ultra this year, but the Edge 70 Ultra is currently in development. At this stage, it is too early to confirm the specifications of the flagship phone, which is expected to debut next year.
There’s a chance that the Edge 70 Ultra may feature a design similar to the Edge 70, whose renders were leaked by AndroidHeadlines last month. The leaked image of the Edge 70 showcased a design largely consistent with the current Edge 60 series. Interestingly, the lock screen image suggests a potential launch as early as September this year.
Several next-generation flagship smartphones are expected to launch starting in September, including the Xiaomi 16 series, Honor Magic 8 series, iQOO 15 lineup, OnePlus 15, and Realme GT 8 Pro. These devices are rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. It remains unclear whether Lenovo will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, or opt for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in the Edge 70 Ultra to reduce costs.
