Android Rumors Leaked Motorola News

Motorola “Nio” Flagship with SD865 and Dual Selfie Cameras Likely to Launch in Q1 2021, Key Specs Leaked

Motorola is reportedly working on a new flagship phone for 2021. A fresh report by Technik News, a German publication, has revealed the key specifications of the smartphone.

The report reveals that Motorola’s upcoming flagship phone is codenamed as “Nio” and it will be driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The Lenovo-owned company launched the Motorola Edge and Edge Plus phones this year. The Edge+ arrived as a flagship phone driven by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. Since the Motorola “Nio” is also expected to feature the SD865, it is unlikely to arrive as the successor to the Edge+.

The report further states that the Motorola Nio will be available in two options such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The publication is not very sure about the existence of the higher variant.

The size of the Motorola Nio’s display is not known yet. However, the leak reveals that the display will support a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a high refresh rate. When it comes to photography, the Nio will be equipped with the OmniVision (OV64B) 64-megapixel main camera, which the company has previously used on the Moto G9 Plus handset. The main lens could be assisted by a 16-megapixel OmniVision (OV16A10) 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a third (OV021B1B) 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Motorola new will have two cameras housed inside a cutout on the screen. The dual selfie camera setup will have a 16-megapixel OV161Q main camera and an 8-megapixel Samsung S5K4H7 sensor. The Android 11 OS will come preloaded on the device and it will support dual SIM connectivity. Lastly, the report mentions that the Nio phone has a model number of XT2125 and it is very likely to break cover in Q1 2021.
