New Huawei smartphones will not have Facebook apps pre-installed

According to a latest report by Reuters, Facebook has confirmed that new Huawei smartphones will no longer be pre-installed with their apps including Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram. This of course, will be a huge blow to Huawei given the huge popularity of the aforementioned apps.

However, consumers who have already owned a Huawei smartphone will still be able to use its apps and receive any new updates as the upcoming suspension is applied only to new smartphones which have yet to leave the factory.

As of now, there is still no official words on when the new ban will be implemented by Facebook but we believe such a ban will be detrimental to the advertising revenues for the California-based social media giant as well. For the good of the consumers out there, let’s hope that the US and China are able to reach an amicable deal so that such bans could eventually be lifted.
