The upcoming Nubia Play has been scheduled to be announced on April 21st next week. This device is a premium mid-ranger smartphone which will compete against the likes of Honor 30S and the upcoming Huawei Nova 7 5G in the Chinese market. It will be equipped with the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765G SoC under the hood.
Today, Nubia has further confirmed that the device would be able to support up to 144Hz screen refresh rate as well. This will put in on par with the upcoming iQOO Neo 3 which would also be touting a similar screen refresh rate. Moreover, the Nubia Play will also be equipped with an AMOLED display which supports in-display fingerprint sensor.
Needless to say, it isn’t common to see a mid-ranger smartphone featuring such a high screen refresh rate. In this aspect, it really makes the Nubia Play stand out of the crowd.
Other than that, we’d also learned that the Nubia Play will be equipped with a massive 5,100mAh battery which supports up to 30W fast-charging. Over at the back, the device will feature a quad-camera setup which consists of a 48 megapixels main camera. In fact, the company had recently released a set of camera samples to boast its camera prowess as well.
Although the Nubia Play certainly isn’t those flagship powerhouse like its Nubia Red Magic 3 counterpart, but it certainly has many attractive features which are specifically targeted at the younger populations. Hopefully, the device could double up its attraction with an affordable price tag too.
